About this event:
Both traditional districts and charter schools have faced increased scrutiny over the use of federal funds and meeting the legal requirements for academic programming, particularly in the areas of English Learner programs, Title I program evaluation, and parent/family involvement. The sunset of COVID funds has made it more challenging for public schools to meet the varied needs of their neediest student populations. To support public schools in addressing student needs and avoiding non-compliant findings, we are inviting you to a two-part workshop on compliance and federal program monitoring.
This workshop series will focus on the perspective of the school in reviewing current systems/processes for compliance, being prepared for potential review by the California Department of Education, and how to engage with your financial team to provide evidence to meet legal standards in the use of funds.
